Types of cookies and storage we use
- Essential. None. Our own code doesn’t need cookies to make the site work.
- Analytics, only when enabled. If we turn on Google Analytics 4, it sets cookies that tell us how visitors use the site: which pages are visited most, how people arrive, and whether they run into errors. It loads directly, with IP anonymization on and Google signals and ad personalization off. When it is off, no analytics cookies are set.
- Browser storage. Our forms keep an unsent draft in your browser’s session storage, so a reload or a failed send doesn’t wipe your answers. The readiness check on the homepage keeps your answers the same way, and the checklists you can tick on the site remember your ticks in local storage. This storage stays in your browser and isn’t sent to our server; the one thing a form sends from it is how long you had been filling it in, as a spam check.

How long do cookies stay on your device?
- Session cookies are temporary and expire when you close your browser. They remember you during a single visit to our website.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device after you close your browser, for a set period or until you delete them. They let a site remember your preferences or actions on future visits.
Third-party cookies
The only third-party service that can set cookies on synaptech.io is Google Analytics, when we turn it on. Its cookies are subject to Google’s privacy policy:
